Safety
As an ACU affiliated club we take the safety of our riders, the public and our helpers very seriously.
All our tracks are inspected annually by a qualified track inspector from the ACU to ensure they meet their strict standards.
It is important that all riders/parents are fully aware of the rules and regulations laid out in the ACU Handbook for their own safety and welfare.
A few requirements worth noting for each participant are:
-
Section 2.2 – Capacity and Licence restrictions
-
Section 8.4 – ‘All competitors must have a 2kg (minimum) dry powder fire extinguisher available for immediate use.’
-
Section 8.5 – ‘Riding of machines in the paddock is strictly prohibited’
-
At our race meetings we operate a policy where all riders are issued with a wristband at signing on. These are important for identification whilst on the track and will be checked prior to being let on the start line.
-
All mobile generators should have an appropriate earthing method.
-
Strictly no personnel, other than signed on officials, are permitted on the track while machinery is operating.
THE SAFETY OF ALL MUST COME FIRST.
